Iris: Today, we’re honored to have Bartolome R Bordallo, Co-Founder & CEO of Zignaly, to our community to give us a more intuitive introduction to their unique project.

Bartolome, would you like to say hello and introduce yourself and your team?

Bartolome: Hello everyone! I am glad to have this opportunity to connect with you all. Let’s start with an introduction to the founding team that is composed of David (CMO), with whom I’ve been working for the last 15 years. We have started a lot of projects together, some success and a lot of learnt lessons. David, understanding many of the aspects of marketing: SEO, Social Networks, SEM, Guerrilla Marketing is amazing, which helps us to validate ideas instantly. Rafay (CFO), who was a trader in the platform, is the person that we were missing (as I mentioned I didn’t have trading experience neither David had). Rafay’s understanding of the crypto-market, besides his banking background and strong control over financial models, was the missing part of the project. When he joined we experienced a jump in quality. About myself, I have a technical background and know a little bit about what you don’t have to do :)

Q1

Iris: What is Zignaly? Can you share with us more in detail?

Bartolome: Zignaly is a social investment platform where people with little or no knowledge about trading & crypto can participate. We have been focused on making the service as easy to use as possible. We have 4 main services, the most interesting one is our profit sharing marketplace, which was started in November 2020, and already has more than USD7mn connected to 120+ expert traders. Other than that, we also have a trading terminal, signal providers marketplace and copy trading marketplace. Each service is aimed at users seeking different levels of trading autonomy, with profit sharing being our flagship service.

Iris: What triggers you to launch Zignaly? What are Zignaly’ unique selling points as compared to other similar projects in the industry?

Bartolome: Back when I started trading crypto, I found myself dumbfounded due to limited trading/crypto knowledge. I was certain that I was not the only one facing this problem. After a thorough session with David, we were quick to reach a conclusion and that was to build a platform where Crypto investors could meet and avail services from seasoned traders. The result was ‘Zignaly’. What we started off as a signal providing and execution service exploded in a short span of time, and we serve 90,000 users as of now. Naturally, the services were improved overtime with the introduction of copy trading and later a better version of the same called profit sharing. With such growth numbers, I feel our problem statement was not only validated, but we also solved it for over 90,000 people and growing.

Zignaly’s USP has to be the profit sharing service, it’s the only end-to-end secured profit sharing service based on the Binance broker program. No other platform has been able to create a solution offering identical results to all the copiers, purely based on success fee and ZERO upfront subscription.

Iris: What are some of the challenges that Zignaly currently faces? How do you aim to solve them?

Bartolome: There are four problems that Zignaly faces at the moment related to user interface, lack of mobile app, hard disconnections in profit sharing, and chain interoperability for ZIG .

As of now, we are actively indulging in completely redesigning the User interface and experience, and we have one of the best in industry for this job. More details will be provided on this.

We’re also working on the first version of the IOS app which should not take too long to roll out. We had several users object to how they could not withdraw funds from profit sharing services, and we’ve heard them. We’re actively working on developing a redefined version of profit sharing that makes the process smooth for everyone. Speaking of chain interoperability, our BSC bridge for ZIG is ready and in the final phase of testing, we are planning to launch it soon.

Apart from this, we’re working to further improve platform stability with a major server upgrade.

Iris: Are there any exciting news or updates with regards to Zignaly that you would like to share with the users?

Bartolome: One of the biggest and most sought after updates is that work on redefined profit sharing has commenced, which will hopefully solve user concerns for good. Apart from that, we are working on platform wide wallet integration that will enable several ZIG utilities such as discounts and rewards. We are actively working on making the ZIG ecosystem stronger with each passing day, and the community must expect developments in this regard.

Iris: If you were to summarize your project in ONE word, what would it be? Why?

Bartolome: “Empowerment” has to be the word.

Why? We are empowering investors to make informed decisions backed by the experience of seasoned traders, all while we also empower these Traders with monetization of their skillset.

Q1: Can you list 2/3 killer features of Your Project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your platform has that you feel most confident about?

Tole: Good question there!

I feel what really sets Zignaly apart from the competitors is the end-to-end secured Profit sharing based on the Binance broker program. The fact that users do not have to pay a dime to to use Zignaly as a platform, and now the transition from upfront fee to success fee with the Profit Sharing services is something new to the industry.

Our bigger differentiation with current competitors is the market that we are chasing. Our product is prepared for attracting people without trading knowledge, or even crypto knowledge. Our north star metric is the profits that we generated to the community, which is what guides all our actions.

Q2: What is your strongest advantage that will give you an edge on competitors, also what are your pain points and how do you plan to address them?

Tole: The strongest advantage of the team is that we are aligned in the same vision. We know our mission and we push in the same direction. This is not always easy to get and sometimes we have to let go amazing people when we detect that we aren’t aligned. Also, having top VCs and advisors onboard really adds up to our competitive advantage.

Our weaknesses are in the regulations field. We know that the niche in which we are operating is (or want to be) highly regulated. All the crypto-exchanges have had their own problems. We are well aware of this situation and, in fact, one of the advisors that we have onboarded will help us to cover this weakness that we have now.

We had the luxury of choosing which investor to onboard in Zignaly, and we have tried to choose the ones that can add more value than just an investment, covering our weaknesses and leveling up our chances of success. We are super happy with the investors and partners that we got thanks to the private sale.

Q3: How is project development going? Can you describe in detail current development efforts, market expansion plans, expected applications, and when will they become commercially available?

Tole: Great question there!

As we speak, a lot is happening at Zignaly. I already mentioned how we’re working to improve the Profit sharing, let me add here that the update will change the game and how Zignaly is perceived in the Social trading space (I suggest you stay tuned to get more updates on this). Apart from that, we’re actively working towards having a mobile app ready soon, all while we undergo a major platform wide upgrade that will further improve the Zignaly experience.

Talking of the token side development, we will soon be adding support for the Binance smart chain — we believe chain interoperability is a much needed feature as Blockchains evolve. We’re also working on integration of the ZIG wallet on the Zignaly platform, that will enable a vast variety of token utilities, and that will be a major step towards ecosystem development.

About market expansion plans, you will soon see Zignaly active in one of the largest global markets with localized customer support, translations and many other things.
